What Is API Credentials For?

API Credentials exists so Arthur can call your upstream API on the tool's behalf without the AI client ever seeing or handling the credential. Whatever type you configure — Bearer, API key, Basic, OAuth2, or custom headers — gets attached to every outgoing request automatically.
